The International Security and Intelligence program was founded by Sir Richard Dearlove, former Head of the British Secret Intelligence Service and until recently Master of Pembroke College, Cambridge, UK and Professor Christopher Andrew, Emeritus Professor of Modern and Contemporary History at Cambridge. From 2012-2015 the very successful ISI program was offered through Pembroke College in Cambridge, England, and provided international student programming taught in the Cambridge style. Design and instruction for the program was provided by the team that also leads the Cambridge Security initiative (CSi).
Cambridge Security Initiative (CSi)
The Cambridge Security initiative (CSi) aims to provide a unique link between the worlds of business, government and academia. With unrivaled expertise in security and intelligence issues, the organization integrates long-term historical trends with the experience of security professionals to deliver prescient analysis of current and future threats to a range of clients. In a similar vein, CSi people have devised programs for students and professionals that reflect these strengths and insights.
In 2016, the ISI program is being offered for time first time in the United States, exclusively at Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland. The U.S. based course, while slightly adapted to meet the needs of international student travelers, maintains the same standards of academic rigor as the original program held in Cambridge, England through our partnership with CSi.
